A church that cares about you!

What We Believe

The Great Commandment

When asked the question "What is the greatest commandment?" in Mark 12:29-31,
Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these.
We as a congregation seek to fulfill this commandment individually through discipleship, and as a church through worship, service and outreach to our community and world.

The Great Commission

Jesus' last commandment of His ministry here on earth was a commission to all His disciples, recorded in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
We are committed to spreading the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection as salvation, continuing to fulfill this ongoing commission.

Purpose Driven Church 5 PurposesThe 5 Purposes of the Church

We believe there are 5 main purposes of the Church. These are eloquently explained in the book The Purpose Driven Church and its companion program 40 Days of Purpose by Rick Warren. This material and the associated conferences and resources are now part of the Purpose Driven series of resources from its own organization at www.purposedriven.com.
